PRP in Aesthetic Medicine
Based on its success it was introduced into the field of aesthetic medicine & dermatology and proved effective in the treatment of hair fall and skin rejuvenation.
How many sessions are needed for a satisfactory result?
Depending on the condition 3 to 6 sessions are usually needed, performed once per month.
How is PRP performed?
1- A local anaesthetic cream is first applied to numb the skin.
2- A blood sample is obtained, as in a blood test, into a special tube continuing a gel that helps separate the platelets from the blood cells.
3- The tube is centrifuged to separate the platelet rich plasma.
4- The PRP is injected into the treatment area using special very fine needles that usually cause minimal discomfort.
Is Platelet rich plasma (PRP) safe?
Safety is an important advantage of PRP, being produced by our own body no adverse side effects were noted, apart from those related to the injection itself e.g. bruising.Consider using this space to introduce your page. Just click to add your own content.
